The title of this drawing is self explanatory.
I referred this picture from some social website. I don't know what was their concept of clicking this picture. But seeing this picture touched me emotionally and instantly connected me with my childhood days.
It reminded me of the sacrifices that our parents made for our upbringing and the protection they had given us.
However, in this picture, the way the hands of parents holding the feet of the child in between their hands signifies the protection and security they provide to their children sacrificing their own comfort at every point of life. And because of this caring emotions, a family corner gets created somewhere in your heart. I am short of words to describe this drawing. But I am sure, being a child or parents, it can connect you somewhere with your feelings in either way.
I really want to dedicate this drawing to my family especially my parents and to all those for whom their family means the whole world to them.
It took me around 10 hours to complete this drawing. But I just loved making the feet of the child and I am very happy the way it came out :) . This was the first time when I drew hands on paper. And the first time too in creating something conceptual and sensible. :D

To start with this drawing I simply referred the two most common promotional pictures of this film - One for the white swan(http://www.impawards.com/2010/posters/black_swan_ver7.jpg) and second for the black swan(http://www.monsterchildren.com/assets/Uploads/_resampled/SetWidth491-Black-Swan-natalie-portman-17392128-2560-1707.jpg).
I started with the white swan first then background and ended up while making black swan. I'm happy with the picture because it gives a great contrast between the dark and light areas.
I used pencil colors to portray white swan and graphite to make background and black swan.
Hope you like it :)

Well what can i say about her. I think she was the first pop singer whose songs I love to hear. "I am with You","Complicated" and "Losing grip" been my favorite songs of that time.
This was my first attempt in drawing a face of a celebrity with pencil colors. I completed drawing her sketch with an ease listening her songs. I found her hairs a little difficult to color. Firstly because I wasn't having the particular shade matching her hairs color but somehow I managed by mixing strokes of yellow and brown color but still I didn't find it perfectly sketched.
After coloring her hairs I got struck thinking about the background. At first I thought to keep it blank just putting a little color around her. But again I thought to make the background using Beehive pattern(another experiment). I started with the pattern but then I got bored as I wasn't getting what I wanted because of lack of color quality. So I kept the remaining part with the simple color.
All in all I enjoyed drawing her and making somebody's portrait with color. It was fun and experimental too. :P

Mostly because Twilight was all around and it was very hard not to draw something from this movie
those days. I enjoyed watching this movie but it is not my favourite movie ever. It was very spectacular to watch a vampire(Edward) glittering in the sunlight :P
I
listened to the soundtrack of Twilight while sketching it which made me to complete it with an ease.
So, this is for those people who are the big fan of Twilight.
Overall I am happy with it. I took around 5 hours to complete at that time.
Material Used - Charcoal Pencils

One day I just started searching communities related to drawing kind of things on some social networking sites. Many hours gone in searching, searching and searching...
then,
After a long time, I encountered one community in which all the relevant things about sketching were given like what kind of paper one should use to draw, kinds of pencil, instruments, and other small small tips that one should use while sketching. At that point of time, my intention was not to adopt and follow any artist. I was just passing my time watching dissimilar talents of people and praising work done by them.
While surfing, I found a profile of a person and i just got amazed after seeing his fabulous work done by using different pencils only. Nobody can believe that one can do such a realistic work. That was the moment when I got inspired by his sketching.
In me, this talent is inherited. I have won many awards and prizes in drawings at school level. But due to my busy schedules I never tried my hands on drawings after my schooling as I have forgotten it.
At that moment I was not able to hold myself. And coincidentally one simple pencil was lying on my table (which don't lie usually) and I thought to start with it. After some hours, I came out with a sketch of 'An Angel' which I referred from some website. After completing I realized that I still possess that talent and I should give it a try again. Apparently, I got a little confidence after completing the sketch but still it was not enough. Then I realized that I have to practice more to get a perfect draw of the anatomy.
Then following tips from here n there I got many ideas to draw but it didn't work at the beginning. But I never give up; I started trying again and again ruining many sheet and pencils, practicing and experimenting with different anatomies of people. Since then I am still experimenting with different pencils and other material.

One thing I have experienced in sketching that as much time you will provide to your work, that much charm it would hold. Because trying to complete quickly means leaving many parts un-sketched, as a result, it do not look good or real one. So patience is the key for the perfect produce.
Now I am addicted to sketching and whenever I get a little leisure time I start with it.
